The Ostrich egg candy dish you see
here was the result of frenzied
activity two days before an egg show.
Joan, the wife of Paul Dietemann,
who helps me at the Rockford Egg
Show, called me two nights before I
was leaving and said that everyone
who was anyone had candy at their
display tables for show attendees to
munch on and that she was bringing
the candy, so I'd better have a candy
dish!
I had a base I'd gotten from the
local Hallmark store after someone
had broken the glass dish that was
supposed to nestle within and then I
"borrowed" a cloth liner from one
of my wife's Longaberger baskets
which fit perfectly. Now this egg
should be on the custom or

groom names with a date... truly anything you might
need. The possibilities really would be endless, but you
might have to find your own liner or even an
appropriate stand. Just call or email and we'll figure it
out. Prices would start at about $100 USD and would
rise from there depending on the complexity of the
design.
