Girders

I do first have to apologize for the quality
of this photo. It's from "back in the day"
as the kids say. I couldn't get good photos
with my 35m camera to save my life.
Thank God for digitals! Anyway, I was
listening to Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi
one day and contemplating the lyrics "they
paved Paradise and put up a parkng lot."
It struck me that the egg is one of God's
most perfect creations and here I am trying
to make it "better" somehow by
transforming it into art. I expressed that
irony with this piece by depicting the
girders in place for a high-rise parking lot.
