Mona Lisa

My objective with this egg was simple... there is an art
gallery here in town which has refused to jury my work
because, as the gallery owner always tells me, "It's just
not art." I've asked her just what it was if it wasn't art
and she's never answered beyond turning and walking
away. So, maybe she doesn't know that I'm creating
sculptures. She has, however, carried Pysanky waxed
and dyed eggs before, so I'm not sure what to think. In
any event, I carved the Mona Lisa on an emu egg, went
to the gallery and asked her if this was more along the
lines of what she thought was art. Her only response
was to spin on her heels and walk away quicker than
