Carved Cat on Emu Shell

All cats are just naturally surly around
me... it's their nature. Plus, they somehow
instinctively know that I'm allergic to
them and so they assume the surly look
you see in this portrait and then circle
around my legs just daring me to do
something about it. I'm a dog person
myself, but cat lovers are everywhere and
so I decided to do some felines to have
available for them. This piece represents
yet another distinct style of emu shell
carving where only the highlighted
portions of the subject are carved into the
shell, mainly in teal, but with white
accents.
